We are looking for an experience Automotive Technician to join Birchwood's Jaguar Land Rover team. This position is an addition to the current team at Jaguar Land Rover Winnipeg in preparation for the separation of the Volvo brand from the Jaguar Land Rover brand. Come March 2021, there will be two separate stand-alone stores with the Jaguar Land Rover brand re-locating to south Winnipeg.

The Automotive Technician plays an integral role in Birchwood Automotive Group achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction after the purchase of a vehicle. The successful candidate is will have the ability to maintain current product and technical knowledge, to estimate time of service and repair needed, and to diagnose and complete the required work right the first time. Using industry-leading technology, the Automotive Technician will diagnose repairs required on a wide range of vehicles.

This position is heavily supported by manufacturer training. Technicians are compensated full wages for training completed outside of the dealership.

Essential Skills / Details

• The ideal candidate will be a Level 4 apprentice or Red Seal
• Highly skilled in electronic diagnostics
• Ability to diagnose and problem solve independently
• Comfortable leveraging technology for most day to day repairs
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment where optimal production is supported
• High attention to detail with proven time management and organizational skills
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Valid driver’s license
